INTERIEUR 2018: A SUMMARY
At Maestro we like to stay on top of trends. Therefore we not only visited Milan Design Week but also the Biennale Interieur in Kortrijk. We have made you an overview of the most important innovations and trends.
The international fair Interieur celebrated its 50th birthday. Interieur combines the latest trends, innovations and materials in interior design. We noticed a lot of novelties we also included in our new collection. Get inspired by our summary of this successful design event.
1. MARBLE: HERE TO STAY
Marble, a noble stone we can’t get enough of! For some time now, the elegant and luxurious material has made a comeback and is here to stay! With its unique veins, the look of marble can add that extra touch of sophistication to your room. As seen in Milan, colored marble was one of the biggest trends at Interieur. Especially green marble really made heads turn. Maestro was thinking ahead by including up to 6 marble designs. Marble can no doubt add value to your interior too!

2. WARM SCANDINAVIAN
As we all know, the neo scandinavian style has been moving towards more round forms and playful accents. Interieur has shown us that warm hues as terracotta, orange and ochre are finding their way in this interior style of the north. Why not combine our interior moods “CRISP” and WARM”? see our designs.
3. DARK, DARKER, DARKEST
Dark interiors are omnipresent. Romantic, mysterious colors combined with velvet furniture are in great demand. Deep, dark hues help to create a cozy ,welcoming atmosphere in your home. Dark walls make furniture and accessories of deep, intense colors stand out. We at Maestro like this trend a lot, which is why we created our ECLECTIC décor collection. Why not try a dark wood design on your wall? Want something bolder? The look of corroded steel will add extra character to your interior .Discover the ECLECTIC collection here.

4. PLAYFUL TERRAZZO
Terrazzo is making a comeback . At Biennale Interieur this spotted pattern was found in decorative pieces such as plant pots, side tables, candle holders, plate settings,… In nice color combinations this playful spotted print is also a perfect trendy wall covering. Discover our three terrazzo designs at their best on our décor page. Did you know that “Freckled terrazzo” is one of the three most popular designs requested on our free samples page? We are therefore proud to share that even “Het Laatste Nieuws” discovered our terrazzo designs in their Living Special.

Additional to these four trends we also noticed a lot of indirect lighting integrated in design pieces such as mirrors, in wall covering and in ceilings. More on this in our Maestro Design Blog later.
